During her 25 years in boarding schools both as a student and as an administrator, Natasha Kollaros has seen the growing needs of international students in US boarding schools and from those insights eNKouraged, LLC was born. For the last 15 years, Natasha has worked directly with students and families and this experience has provided her with a unique perspective on what international families value and the opportunities and challenges schools face meeting those needs. Her experience as Dean for Residential Life, Director of Counseling Services, and Associate Director of Admissions allowed Natasha to create authentic relationships with students, families, consultants and agents, both in the international and national markets.
A graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University, Natasha earned her Master’s degree in Social Work with an emphasis in adolescent growth and development. Natasha notes that while her education provided her the formal understanding of adolescent complexity, her professional experience has taught her that even though each student arrives with a unique story and background, adolescent needs for acceptance and compassion are universal.
As the first generation of her family raised in the United States, Natasha believes that her childhood and adolescent experiences shaped her desire to work in a culturally diverse environment, as well as inspired her to encourage students to appreciate the diversity around them. This coupled with the growing demands of international students to fully experience the traditions and culture of their host countries makes eNKouraged and Natasha’s experience and expertise priceless.
eNKouraged is located in the suburbs of the Washington DC Metropolitan area where Natasha lives with her husband and young daughter.
